A global pandemic, a dangerous cure.
And a father / daughter relationship set to explode at the end of the world.
And a father / daughter relationship set to explode at the end of the world.
A new infectious pathogen is discovered in a remote village in Belgium---a supervirus that means nothing less than the beginning of the end. One of the world’s leading scientific minds has figured out a way to stop the outbreak, but his theory is untested, unthinkable, and unsupported by the CDC. While it could save most of the planet, it would cost millions of lives. Regardless of that risk, he’s convinced it’s the only way to save us all. What’s more frightening is, he might be right. He can’t execute his plan alone, and the one person he’s trying to convince to help him--- a brilliant young scientist and insider at the CDC---is the one person who could stop him: his daughter.
The question is, should she?

About The Ingram New Works ProjectThis annual new play incubator at Nashville Rep brings together regional playwrights and a nationally recognized writer (in 2014, it was Doug Wright) to write and workshop new plays throughout the season. The writers are given access to the talented professional actors of Nashville and the support of the artistic staff of Nashville Rep. Meeting throughout the season, the writers work on their own plays while being a support structure for each other in this development process. This new play lab culminates with the annual Ingram New Works Festival, which showcases each play in a reading. This amazing development opportunity is supported by funding from Martha R. Ingram, co-founder of the project.
