About the Playwright
Jeremy Sony is an Ohio-based playwright and screenwriter whose stage plays are available
for licensing to schools, youth theatres, and community stages. His works — including
The Last Queen of Wonderland, Sleepy Hollow: The Lost Chapter, Robin Hood and the Secret of Sherwood, and two historical plays commissioned by the City of Grove City, Ohio — have been produced by Street Theatre Co., Tantrum East,
Nashville Rep, Available Light, MadLab Theatre, Theatre Daedalus, Curtain Players, Little Theatre Off Broadway, and The Last Frontier
Theatre Conference, among others. He holds an MFA in playwriting from Ohio University, where he was named an Anthony Trisolini Graduate Fellow and received the Scott McPherson Playwriting Award.

Frontier Theatre Conference, among others, as well as by schools and youth theatre programs
nationally and internationally.
His plays include The Last Queen of Wonderland, Sleepy Hollow: The Lost
Chapter, Robin Hood and the Secret of Sherwood, and Mars, Ohio, among
more than a dozen full-length and short works — many of which are available on the New Play Exchange. Sony
was commissioned by the City of Grove City, Ohio to create original historical plays, including The Century Box, commemorating the bicentennial of
Jackson Township, and The Women of Grove City, created as part of the America 250
celebration.
As a screenwriter, Sony wrote the feature film Separation Anxiety, directed by
Cole Simon and produced by Glass City Films. The film won Best Drama at the Riverbend Film
Festival, and screened at festivals across the United States.
Sony holds an MFA in playwriting from Ohio University, where he was named an Anthony
Trisolini Graduate Fellow and received the Scott McPherson Playwriting Award. He resides in
central Ohio, where he is inspired daily by his wife, sons, and their clowder of cats.
